Whether or not you are team Buffet or Selmer, this clarinet is a superb player for any professional looking for a large swath of timbrel possibilities.įrom the 1970 Selmer Release of the Series 10: Nothing has really 'changed' on clarinets, the series 9 and older Centered Tones (wich series 9 are modeled after) are still great clarinets, straight large (ish) bore. The Series 10 is considered by many not only a rival to Buffet's R13, but perhaps the better of the two. ![]() This is full Boehm clarinet: 7 rings articulated G/C key additional 'sliver key' on lower joint (opens the G/C key) left hand Ab/Eb key. ![]() It is a one owner instrument, and has been very well cared for. As far as value, in reasonable condition Ive seen them any where from 400.00 to 700.00 from private sellers to over 1000.00 completely restored, no cracks, good case, asking price from dealers. Selmer Series 9 clarinet S8070 was manufactured in Paris, France in 1962. Selmer has been making clarinets as long as some clarinetists have memories. They are excellent clarinets and Benny Goodman played a Centered Tone.
